Fukuyoshi is a seafood restaurant in Mashike, the old herring town on the Ororon Line. Mashike's harbor is famous for sweet shrimp, botan shrimp and scallops, and Fukuyoshi serves them on rice.
Sweet shrimp and scallops

I had the two-topping bowl of sweet shrimp and scallops: both were soft and sweet, and the miso soup was full of shrimp flavor. There are several kinds of bowls, so there is plenty to choose from.
The menu

When I went, the sweet shrimp bowls with a second topping (salmon, octopus, scallop, flounder or surf clam) were 2,640 to 3,080 yen including tax, limited to 20 a day, so go early. According to a local restaurant guide, the menu also includes sashimi set meals, nigiri sushi, fried chicken set meals and soba. Prices can change with the season, so check the menu in the shop.
